Human Biology
Description:This course explores the anatomy and physiology of human biology. It includes an overview of basic chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, biotechnology, and pathology. Laboratory activities include study of human parts and models, measurements of physiological phenomena, and accompanying basic science demonstrations. The course is appropriate for majors in medical assisting, psychology, social service, art, and other paramedical and health occupations. It meets the Associate of the Arts general education requirements for a science course with lecture and lab. Portions of instruction may be offered online; may also be offered fully online.
Recommended Preparation:Completion of or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 1A
