Firefighter Academy
Description:	This course is part of a two-course corequisite program designed to provide the student with the academic and manipulative skills required for Firefighter I/II certification through the California State Fire Marshal's Office. The course requires significant commitment in time and dedication to complete. It also requires both academic and physical skills, in addition to extra motivation to endure the intensive schedule. Portions of instruction may be offered online.
Prerequisites:	Corequisite: FPTC 105B (or FPTC 105 or FIRE 105) OR FPTC 405B
Recommended Preparation:	FPTC 101
Limits on Enrollment:	Certified as basic EMT or equivalent; must have current CPAT or Biddle card; must pass a doctor's physical with spirometry
Repeatability:	May be repeated once if grade was D or F.
