Public Speaking
Description:This course focuses on the theory and techniques of public speaking in a democratic society. Emphasis is placed on discovery, development, and criticism of ideas in public discourse through research, reasoning, organization, composition, presentation, and evaluation of various types of speeches, including informative and persuasive speeches. Portions of instruction may be offered online; may also be offered fully online. [C-ID COMM 110]
Recommended Preparation:Completion of or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 1A or ENGL 1AE
