P.O.S.T. Intensive Basic Academy II
Description:This is the second in a series of two intensive basic training requirements for Peace Officers. This course satisfies all minimum required training mandates governed by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) entry level Peace Officers. The course includes fundamental principles, procedures and techniques of law enforcement, including: Criminal Law, Patrol procedures, Cultural Diversity, Investigative procedures, Report Writing, Defensive Tactics, Firearms, Leadership, Ethics, Community Relations, Police Vehicles Operations, Traffic Enforcement, Accident Investigation and First Aid/CPR.
Limits on Enrollment:Passing score on WSTB Physical Agility exam. Passing score on PELLETB Written exam. Students must possess a DOJ clearance to own a firearm. Medical Clearance Medical Insurance
Repeatability:May be repeated once if grade was D or F.
