Advanced Officer Skills I
Description:This course is designed to provide a mechanism whereby students may insure that the necessary new skills and communication techniques and those previously learned skills are maintained and reinforced. This course satisfies Advanced Officer Training requirements from the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). This is a pass/no pass course. Repetition of this course is necessary for a student to meet legally mandated training.
Recommended Preparation:Commission on Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified basic law enforcement academy diploma or equivalent as determined by the Dean of Academy Instruction.
Repeatability:May be repeated once if grade was D or F.
