College Composition
Description:This is an introductory course that offers instruction in expository and argumentative writing, appropriate and effective use of language, close reading, cogent thinking, research strategies, information literacy, and documentation. WRITING REQUIREMENT: A minimum of 8,000 words formal writing. May also be offered online. [C-ID ENGL 100]
Prerequisites:ENGL 111; or ENSL 110 and ENSL 155; or eligibility for college-level composition as determined by college assessment or other appropriate method
Recommended Preparation:LIBR 50 (may be taken concurrently)
Transferability:CSU; UC 
Repeatability:May be repeated once if grade was D or F.
