Description:This course offers an introduction to the role of African Americans in the development of the United States from 1865 to present. Emphasis is placed on their historical and cultural contributions to life in the United States as well as their socioeconomic and sociopolitical status. Also offered as Ethnic Studies 25; credit may be earned only once.
Recommended Preparation:Elig for ENGL 111 & 112 or ENSL 110 & 155
