Introduction to Teaching and Education |
Description: | This course introduces students to concepts and issues related to teaching in today's diverse schools. It examines assumptions about teaching and learning, as well as learning theory and curriculum. It covers the historical and philosophical foundations of the American educational system and contemporary K-12 education issues such as California’s content standards and teacher performance standards.
