Jewelry: Stone Setting II |
Description: | This course continues the development of stone-setting processes introduced in ARTD 43A, focusing on setting non-round stones into jewelry and multiple stones on one piece. Use of burrs continues, with the addition of gravers and files, allowing the cutting of seats that match square- or rectangular-stone profiles. Techniques such as stitches, simple pave, channel, and gypsy settings are covered. |
