Description: | The course is a look at the period between, leading up to, and including World War II. It examines such topics as Communism and Stalinism and the rise of fascism, the impact of the Great Depression, and cultural responses to the challenges of the period, including radical new kinds of art, literature, and philosophy. Not open to students with credit in GENT 23. |
